This study aims to evaluate a framework to observe and assess the Non-Technical Skills (NTS) of community pharmacists. This framework was developed at the University of Manchester by Ahmed Ashour, Dr Denham Phipps and Professor Darren Ashcroft.
You should have received an email from Ahmed with a Participant Information Sheet (PIS) and a consent form. Please ensure you have read the PIS and signed the consent form and sent a copy of the consent form to Ahmed before proceeding.
In the following video you will receive brief training on using PNOTS, in addition to a history of how it was developed at the University of Manchester. Please pay attention during this training and feel free to email Ahmed with any questions you may have before proceeding.
At the end of the training we encourage you to print off the PNOTS handbook and make six copies of the rating form, for each scenario you will observe. Altogether, there are six scenarios that range between 60 seconds to 4 minutes. Following the rating of the scenarios, there will be an evaluation questionnaire to give feedback on using PNOTS and its contents.
